What’s the difference between Bembien’s colors and materials?

How to choose the right color and material for you? We put together this guide to make it a little easier.

 

Leather colors:

Our color palette is earthy and neutral, designed to pair easily with any wardrobe and for year-round versatility. Consider which colors you gravitate toward in your everyday uniform. For example, if you wear a lot of primary colors, opt for a neutral like Cream, Black, or Navy. If you wear a lot of beiges and browns, add dimension with Rouge or Olive. If your wardrobe leans more black, try Espresso to bring in a little warmth.

1.  Caramel — a warm, neutral light brown.
2.  Cream — a cool-toned, grayish stone white.
3.  Black — a true jet black.

4.  Sienna —  a rich, reddish cognac brown.
5.  Espresso — a warm, rich dark brown.
6.  Olive — a dark earthy green.

7.  Rouge — a deep wine red.
8.  Navy — a dark, cool blue.

 

 

Materials:

Raffia, rattan, and bamboo are our quintessential summer materials and can be worn through spring and fall as well. Our soft, warm suede is our cold weather bestseller, perfect for adding texture and depth to your outfit. For a style that can be worn in all four seasons, opt for our classic leather.

1.  Rattan — light and airy woven cane rattan with a smooth surface.
2.  Raffia — thick woven raffia with a beautifully irregular texture.
3.  Bamboo — structured, stiff woven bamboo. 

4.  Leather — classic, smooth, medium weight leather.
5.  Suede — soft and flexible suede with a vintage feel.
6.  Beads — 100% maple wood beads, polished for a smooth finish.

 

 

Leather weaves:

Our original weave is the Signature Weave, which we’ve had since the beginning of our leather collection and is a perennial bestseller. The Grande and Carré Weaves were added shortly after and have become Bembien classics. Our Knotted Weave is a unique weave found only on our Carmen Bag and Mini Carmen.

1.   Signature Weave — A classic diagonal twill weave.
2.  Grande Weave — Thick woven leather strips for a dramatic wide weave.
3.  Carré Weave — Small square weave to create a checkered effect (available in either solid or check tones).

4. Knotted Weave — A textured weave formed by knotting pieces to create a three dimensional, pillowy effect.
5.  Basketweave — Tightly woven from thin strips of leather for a basket-like effect.
